About Saint John Orthopaedics

Welcome to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Zone 2 within the Horizon Health Network, New Brunswick. Our team is comprised of 7 Surgeons, each having completed one or two years of advanced post specialty training in addition to their Orthopaedic Specialty training. All are clinical leaders within their specialty and possess Assistant or Associate Professor postings within the Department of Surgery at Dalhousie University.

Saint John Orthopaedics is one of the busiest Surgical Departments in the province of New Brunswick. Greater than 15,000 patient evaluations are provided annually. State-of-the-art medical and surgical care is the focus. Nearly 2400 operative procedures are performed by our team annually, utilizing advanced treatment techniques and technologies.

Our surgeons strive to maintain the highest standard of Orthopaedic Care. Many are Key Opinion Leaders within their subspecialty on a national and international scale. Others are active in regional, provincial, and national health policy. As clinical educators, we endeavor to maximize the musculoskeletal knowledge of future physicians within the Departments of Orthopaedics, Family Medicine, and Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University. Research efforts ensure optimal care specific to our New Brunswick population. All this, in an effort to provide the best Orthopaedic Care possible to our patients.
